Rob Ricci helped set up goals two and three. while notching the second tally was Dean Strong. Cody Spicer was sseady between the pipes in is second sraight appearance as the toumnament. While Milton was quise impressive againsi Springfield Sunday, the same couldn't be said for weekend-opening play against the Michigan High School All- Stars - which ended in a 4-4 draw. The local juniors fired a dozen shots on net during the first period but headed insu intermnission in a scoreless stalemate. From leads, the latter with lest than three min- utes remaining. 'Me tying tally was sunk with just nine seconds left to play. Alex Evans was in net for the toumnament upener. Meloche, Ricci, Lee Swallow and Wes Clark were the marksmen in gaine une. Vic Oreskovich provided a pair of assists su kick uff a thuroughly productive weekend - which was highlighted by a three-helper performance in round two versus the Sou Indians Saturday. 'his factured heavily insu a much better uverali effort by the Merchants, who bat- tled su a 5-5 tie. Heartbreak would be the end result again. huwever, as the Indians knotted shings up inside the final 90 sec- onds. Meloche tallied swice, while singles were chipped in by Ricci, Strong and Swallow. Defencemen Andrew Bunellu and Phil Sbrocchi drew assists against bush the Indians and Michigan High Sehoul AIl- Stars. Among shose who picked up single helpers over the weekend was Emerson Mish. a big blueliner signed just before the sournament who last tiled with the NAHL's Cleveland Barons.
