He also had the opportunity 10 visit with Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, where the two discussed the hope of future peace between Palestine and lsrael. While in Africa, Rev. Lewis visited Malawi, where the Presbyterian Church assists in medical, educational and agricul- tural programrs. Rev. Lewis, whose father Trevor miis- tered ai Knox Presbyterian Church from 1975 to 1985, is a former clerk and moder- ator of the Presbytery of Niagara. He's served as convener of the Chureh's nation- al long-range planning committee and as vice-convener and convener of the General Assembly Council of the Presbyterian Church of Canada.
