The mix was delivered at the Glohal Soccer Toumnamrent- where the Sargent Farm Magic rallied from an opening-round defeat to take top honours among the nine- team field. With the toumament title hanging in the balance against Michigan's Mesa Fire, for- ward l-olly Goddard deposited an upstairs header with about three minutes remaining Io win 1-0. Setting her up with a pictur- esque cross feed was Amy DiPalma. Sister Emma Goddard shared the spot- light in the nail-biting championship clash as the impromptu goalie. Replacing an absent Davida Denich, Milton's second- string cager made Iwo dynamite saves through the early going and was steady the rest of the way to preserve the shutout vic- tory. While the win was neyer really in doubt, Emma Goddard did corne up big on a penalty shot to eamn the first of two shutouts. The back-to-back wmns followed an opening-day split in which the champs were edged by the Ann Arbor Arsenal 1 -0 before rallying to knock off USL Teamn United 3-1 - thanks largely to, a two-goal showing by Holly Goddard. Milton had to rally from an early deftcit in game two, and helping out the cause with the other goal was Kent. Creating a number of scoring chances in the win were Amy DiPalma and Sylvie Noolandi. Against Ann Arbor. Emma Goddard was rock solid between the pipes while provid- ing exceptional defensive help was Erica Ercolani.
