The Group Home Study procesa included a detaiied review of tise current provisions within tise Town of Miton's Officiai Plan and Zoning By-Law, a review of other municipal prac- tices and a consultation process. Tise Zoning By-law Amendment affects certain Generai Provisions, Residential, H-amiet, Institutional, Agriculturai and Rural permîtted uses and zone provisions, as weil as definitions in Zoning By-iaw 61-85, as arnended. Bmns will be placed in the Yard and staff can direct where items are to be placed. Items that wiii flot be accepted for disposai are: " Hrazardous waste including chemnicais, paints, solvents and waste oul " Tires " Propane Tanks Residents needing to dispose of these types of items are directed to go to the Halton Region Landfill Site located on Regional Road #25 south of Britannia Road. The hours of operation for the Brookville Yard are 7:00 arn to 3:00 pin, Tuesday to Friday and 8:00 arn to 4:00 pm on Saturday. The Yard is ciosed Victoria Day Monday and on Sundays. Effective May 31, 2002 ail of Miton's workplaces and ail public places (with the exception of bingo halls, private clubs/public halls and garning/racing establishments) wiii be 100% smoke-free. An information kit, explaiming the requirements of the new smoking by-law wiil be sent to ail employers and ail proprietors of public places in mid-May.
