A long-time teacher and current- ly in her fifth term as board chair, the Georgetown resident was sur- prised by the honour. Ms Gardiner was a teacher for 39 years, 29 of shose in Halton and the majority, 18 years, as Robert Little School in Acton. She also taught in Northemn Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick.
