The Rockwood Railway Station was huâttin 1912 and moved to thc site of the Ontario Electric Railway Museurn in 1972. It was later designated as a ber- itage structure under the Ontario Heritage Act in 1995. Two years later, volunteers began Uic tedious task of remnoving Uic gray brick exterior and replaced it wiUi its original sheil of board and batten in an Indian red shade. The Heritage Awards were co-spon- sored by Uic Milton H-istorical Society and Uic Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee (LACAC). The Milton Historical Society requeits nominations from Uic public every year for projects completed in Uic fields of writing, visual arts and educa- tion. Then Uic organization votes on Uic nominations and selecta Uic winners. This was Uic 15th annual event.
