Blue box material is collected every other week on the same day as your garbage. CAUPELL~~I~RD.First new waste collection: Wednesday February 6, (every week thereafter) 0 First new blue box collection: Wednesday February 13, 401 (every other week tbereafter) WEDHESDAY r First new bluebo collection: ~'Wednesday February 6, (everyot week thereafter) Why the Change? The current waste collection schedule has evolved over the past three decades, with new routes heing addecl as Halton grew. n order to provide the most efficient service, Halton Region bas taken a fresh look at the waste collection routes, and streamlined them to concentrate more resources in each area on collection day. This will help us improve service by allowing for increased supervision, providing better support for waste collection operators, and ensuring faster action when unforeseen circumstances arise. Getting Used to the Change The new routes mean a change flot only for residents, but for the waste collection operators as well. There may be some wrinkles to work out in the first week or two, but we are working to minimize any service disruptions by ensuring that we have extra resources available during the initial weeks of the new schedule. To further minimize disruptions, we are asking ail residents to have material at the curbside by 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.
