The focus of the week is to celebrate the achievements of Canadians who are blind or visually impaired as well as raise aware- ness of the challenges Ehey face in their daily lives. 'his year's theme is 'One Step Closer' to independence. in their effort t0 raise awareness. the organization bas established a 'Challenge Your Senses' booth -an insteractive demonstration - that will be situated in major mails across Halton Region and ahoard during White Cane Week. On Wednesday, Feb. 6, the booth will be found at Georgetown Market Place (280 Guelph St.>. Other mails in Halton/Peel will also host the demonstration, but Milton Mail isn't on the schedule.
