The 11:30 arn. blaze above the Knight Cap pub was put out by the building's superintendent and another mans. Superintendent Gord Mollin said he was in bis room wben he heard tbe fire alari go off. 1t went out to check tbe floor and 1 saw sinoke coming out of thse door to one of thse rooms. Me and anotlser guy gos thse door dlown and started tlsrowing waser on thse fffe. 1 tore down thse curtains to make sure thse fîre wouln't spread and 1 opened thse windows for air. By thse turne t gos out of thse roorn, 1 collapsed and waa taken to thse Isospitai." The sole occupant of thse room aI thse tisse was a dog, Mr Mollin said. Mr. Mollin, Ms Lavigne and another ten- ant were treated and released as Milton District Hospital for sinoke inhalation and tested for carbon monoxide poisoning.
