Susan has responded to an over- whelming request to offer classes this fall at the Nantyglo Wool Shop. Classes are designed not only to be informative but fun as well. In order to be of service to her customers classes will be held on Tues. or Thurs. night between 7pm and 9pm. These session will run in 4 week segments. Four are dedicat- cd to knitting projects and two for crochet. Every effort has been made to find projects that will be suitable for a variety of expertise. The first four week session starts Tues., Sept. 25th, with mit- tens knitted on two needles. This is a good program for beginner knitter's as usually mitts are knit on "four" needles. The basics will be taught and you will leam how to sew up a professional looking seam. Choose from a variety of luxuri- ous yarns and let your imagination soar. Thurs. Sept. 27th, we will be crocheting a beautiful baby jacket utilizing the afghan stitch. Simple and fast to learn and suitable for beginner or experienced crocheters. When you are finished you have the option of adding a "bee" motif in cross stitch. Perfect for your little "honey." Tues, Oct. 23rd, Upside-down Cardigan. What you may ask is that? Suitable for intermediate knitters this project covers all aspects of knitting a sweater including an introduction to cables and upside down to boot. What a hoot! Right side up they become owls, a new flip on knitting. This class is prov- ing very popular, register early and avoid disappointment. Thurs. Oct 23, Lace Knitted Shawl. There will be a brief his- tory of knitted lace and then we get to it! Leam to knit from a graph with very fine "lace" weight yarn in silk and mohair. A delicate stole perfect for cool evenings. MI - Knitters are Bilingual at Nantyglo TI'urs. Nov. 22, Crochet triangle Lace Shawl. A quick and comes from rabbits, mohair comes from goats, alpaca comes easy shawl to crochet. With this in mind Susan will be offering Workshops on alternate Saturdays starting Oct. 6. These workshops will offer intro- ductions to knitting, crochet, cross stitch or needlepoint. Two special workshops have been held before and are always popular. Knitting Tips and Techniques and Finishing and Blocking.
