-/Cabot Trail dwellers want action to curtail speeding* By RICHARD VIVIAN The Champion Speeding is a re-occurring problem and it's only a mat- ter of time before it costs someone their life, say Cabot Trail residents. The ongoing concem grew late last month when a car left the road and collided with a tree near tbe intersection of Cabot Trait and Frobisher Boulevard. A Milton womnan was cbarged witb failing to, drive in a marked lane as a resuit of the incident, but no specding charges were laid. -The person driving did not get injured, but bad that been a cbild instead of a tree, thse chld would be dead," said Cabot Trail resident Melodie Nicholas, wbo attended the scene following tbe single- vehicle collision. Speeding common Tbougb these types of collisions are rare along the 'U'-sbaped road, speeding is commrron place, Ms Nicholas added. "I'd like to sec tbem (town count- cil) put in a couple more stop signs and slow people down or (police) sut on the street once in a wbile and enforce tbe speed limit. It migbt smarten speeders up," be contin- ucd. This isn't the first time residents bave raised the issue.
