e fitousServte Dtecto Churches Welcome New Miltonians There was a very welcome letter in a recent edition of the Champion from someane who will soon be moving into the new develop- ment. He was conCerned that the present residents of Milton seemed ta expect changes for the worse with the expansion and expressed the hope that Milton's spirit of community wiIl be retained regard- less of our physical size. The leffer cantained a wish ta meet the people of Miltan, take part in local activities and continue aur friendly, courteous ways. St. Paul's, like many other churches and organizations in town, has wrestled with how best ta welcome and include the new residents. One of the things we have done is ta join with twenty other churches in the Milton area ta produce a brochure. It ists the churches, gives pertinent informa- tion such as the times of services and includes a map. On the map, beneath a drawing of a car, it says, "From yaur house ta God's *BANAl1 Informai Discussions every Wednesdoy evening This Week: "The Vidue of Generositl" For mbf caII: 905-87i'001 1 GLORY 'Thou art My glory and My glory fodeth flot. The brochures are being distrib- uted through the developer's sales offices and are available at local public buildings such as the library and the Leisure Centre. It was particularly gratifying when a new aftendee at St. Paul's mentioned that she had found aur church thraugh the brochure which she had picked up 'when visiting her builder's sales pavillon. The churches involved warked together ta design, produce and distribute this invitation ta attend their places of worship and become a part of their church familles. This activity in itself demonstrates the very "spirit of community" mentioned in the leffer; people of Milton working together ta do something good, Submiffed by Wendy Schau, Chair of Outreach, St. Paul's United Church MILTON GOSPEL HALL 306 Ontario St. N. a 878-3873 10:00 a.m. -The Lord's Supper 11:45 a.m. - Sunday School 6:30 p.m. - Gospel Service Wednesday 7:30 p.m. Prayer and Bible Study We believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
