Church hosts golf toumament The New Life Church's seventh annual Bus Ministiy Golf Classic will be held at Aclon Golf Club August 25. Proceeds generaled from ticket sales will go toward the purchase of a new bus for the church's transportation ministry. Young children and adulîs benetit from access 10 special events such as gym nights, sporting events, campouts, retreats and conferences. TMrugh inspection, the Third Line church's 72- passenger bus is winding up ils tenure of service and needs to be replaced. Last year, more than $13,000 was raised and this year's goal is $20.000. The Canadian Champion, Tuesday, August 7, 2001-19 Student employment centre will close Friday Centre helped hundreds find jobs this summer The Milton Human Resource Centre of Canada for Students (HRCC-S) wiIl close ils doors for the summer Friday. This summer, the centre placed hundreds of students with jobs in the area. "The summer went very well," said Janath Corso, summer empinyment officer. "We helped a large number of students with their job searches but we also coun- selled them on things like resumé and cover letter writing and interview tech- niques, as well as employment standards and wage rates."
