Various power tools and blades were found inside the box, which was valued at Sgt. Hay is police's new public affairs officer The Halton Regional Police Service has- a new public affairs oficer. Sgt. Val Hay, a I 5-year veteran of polic- ing in Hilton, has taken the helm from Sgt. Larry Brassard, who left the police service aller a caneer that spanned two decades. Sgt. Hay began her careèr in 1986 with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. She worked in Toronto for three years before joining Halton Regional Police in 1989. An experienced criminal investigator, Sgt. Hay has worked in Halton Hilîs, 'MI * 90-7508 Milton and Burlington as a patrol olftcer as well as a member of the service's surveil- lance unit. Sgèt. Hay also served as an instructor at the Ontario Police College in Alymer, Ont. for two years. Sgt. Brassard left the position to become deputy chief of the Halton Hilîs Fire Department.
