The club submitted its charter to Lions .-No word on FGI's group home plans A group home operator is keeping quiet about what the next move will be its a con- troversial bid'to open a facility on Victoria Street. Family Guidance lnc. (FOI) refused to comment to The Champion on how it will respond to town councils recent decision that the group home proposai violates a municipal bylaw. Lynda Parsons, vice-president of resi- dential services for FGI, said she had "nothing to contribute at this time." Town counicil voted unanimously July 16 that FGI's plan to open a gmoup home at 25 Victoria St. contravenes a Town bylaw pro- hibiting the operation of two group homes within 300 metres of each other. Currently, a group home is already operating at near- by 25 Main St. The decision was good news for Victoria Street residents who are adamantly opposed to the group home.
