He was raised in Carbonear, Nfld., where during his high achool yers was a member of the R.C.S.C.C., Beothic, Marbour Graoe, NF., until joining the Royal Canadian Navy, serving 6 1/2 years on board the HMCS Ottawa and the MMCS Fraser. Me then moved 10 Onanio, where he has resided and worked untit now. Me was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #23, Carbonear, NF. Me enjoyed music, especially playing the guitar and singing and was also an avid sorts fisher- man.
