We would like to extend our best wishes to ail graduates as final preparations for this special evening are made. Retrospectively, we realize just how much the students of Bishop Reding have accomplished this past year. The 2000/2001 Student Govemment was suc- cessful in running many memorable events including: the annual Snowflake BaIl, Murder Mystery and "Operation: Cut Mr. Jurus' Hair". BR's numerous community efforts allowed the school to recognize the student body can make a difference. These events included: blanket and tent drives, three successful food drives and a Social Justice Benefit evening. Bishop Reding Athletics also had an outstanding year. Many of our teams saw their best perform- ances ever. In their third Football season, the Senior Royals defeated Loyola in theT 'ier II championship held at Ivor Wynne Stadium. The Senior Boys' Soccer team had a tremendous sea- Ryan Pyne son winning the Halton and the G.H.A.C. Championships. They also competed at OFS.AA. As well, the Track and Field teamn was represented at OFS.A.A. with Ian Butcher bring- ing home a silver medal performance in the Midget Boys 400 metres. Michelle Doell along with the Sitarz sisters are commended on their O.FS.A.A. performances in Track and Badminton respectively. Ail of BR's teams are congratulated on their successful tournament and division results. The Music Department showed their talent at many school and community events. The Senior Concert Band had the opportunity to perform while visiting Chicago. B.R. Players also present- ed Fame: the Musical. The cast and crew of this event, as well as the annual Talent Show, demon- strated their many hidden talents. The Cosmetology Departonent was thriving this year with its "Hair X-tacy" performance. This group along with the many clubs, academic teams and those who participated in the Rome 2001 trip demonstrated the diversity among Bishop Reding students.
