Brampton got a couple nins back in the third inning, mostly from aggressive base running as opposed to good itting, but the Red Sox put it away in the fourtb inning, after led Cosby reacbed base on an error, followed by singles fmom Todd Black and McLeod. Witb the bases ioaded, Melito punched a single into right field to score one, and then Lawton worked a walk after falling bebind in tbe counit 0-2 to score another. It was ail for flot, tbough, as the Red Sox dropped an 8-7 decision. Milton now sports a 3-3 record. "Tbat's just where 1 expected we would be," said manager, Glenn Turner. "Once tbings get rolling and we get a few games under our belt we can improve that record." The team has been strong so far in ail facets of the game, accord- ing to Turner. "Pitcbing has been terrific and the itting bas been above average. Basically, tbe games we' ve let slip away bave been mostly caused-by defensive miscues, but for the most part our defense bas been pretty strong as well." Milton's next home contest is Monday at Mapleburst against Dundas. Game time is 7:30.
