The 40 community members toured the Canadian National (CN) intermodal termi- nal fmom a chartered bus that was arranged with the railway by resident Rita Post. Ian Thlomson, director of communica- tions for CN, said the purpose of the tour was to show the operation and design of an intermodal terminal, although Milton's facility will be modelled after the inter- modal facility in Surrey, B.C. "TMe trucks line up at the gates and will proceed to the tracks to load the containers onto the trains," he said. The community will have the opportuni- ty to attend a presentation by Col. Hadtield Saturday at E.C. Drury l-igh School to share in is experiences of is historic space walk. He wilI speak to the audience at 2 p.m. in the south gym. Seats for the presentation are on a irst- come, irst-served basis. Later in the evening will bc a tamily- sponsored fundraising concert featuring Col. Hadield and is brothers David and Phillip in support of the Chris Hadield Bursary Fund. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. at the high school.
