The Milton Choristers will preserit Songs of the Silver Sereen June 2 at Country Heritage Park's Cambrel Bamn at 7:30 p.m. TMis final concert of the season promises to, be an evening of nostalgia and fun as the choir evokes scenes and memories from favourite movies. TMe audience is invited to stroîl down memory lane and relive passion, sorrow, joy, laughter and drama of some of the best-loved movies, including My Best Friend's Wedding, Amistad, Beauty and the Beast and the Sound of Music. The Choristers' special guests for the concert wilIl be the Milton District High Sehool Senior Concert Band under the co-direction of Stephen Maule and Jennifer Peace. As no trip to the movies would be complete without popcomn, ticket purchases include free popcomn and two sices of pizza, along with a movie trivia contest throughout the evening. The Milton Choristers have enjoyed their hest sea- son ever under the continu- ing direction of Clenda Crawford, members say. The choir's numbers are ever growing with Ms Crawford rising to the challenge and eliciting the best from every number. And accompaniat John Covedas has brought his master pianist akilîs and a wealth of musical knowl- edge to the choir this season. With an Ontario Trillium Foundation grant more than two years, the Choristers have increascd its advertis- ing, music lihrary and work wîth professional singers and musicians. Tickets cos( $15 for adults or $13 for seniors. Children 12 years of age and under are admitted free. They can be purchased in advance at Peggy's in the Milton Mail, Delaeourt's on Main Street or by calling Robin at (905) 876-3307. Tickets available at the door will be limited.
