In their son's memnory, the Sonsognos have set up the Oriando Sonsogno Trust Fund with Haiton Heaithcare Services (HHS), with proceeds aimed at eventuaiiy bringing an mn-patient psychiatrie ward to Milton District Hospital. Currentiy, in-patient, on-site psy- chiatric services are located at Oakville-Trafalgar Memoriai Hospital and anyone who arrives at Milton hospitai in crisis is trans- fen-ed theoe. "Mhe fund has over $500 now," The parents of Orlando Sonsogno hope ta se. the addition of a psychlatric ward at Milton hospitai for those ln crisis. A fund was created ln the name of their son to raise money for the cause. Ms Sonsogno said. "We need (a psychiatrie faciiity) here as the town is growing." On Thursday, the one-year anniversary of Orlando's death, the Sonsognos along with close friends and family wili gather at the rail- way tracks at Rotary Park to place a plaque with Orlando's name inscribed on the wooden beamn where he took his lilè. The family wiIl then attend a spe- cial ceremony on the grounds of Milton District Hospital where they will plant a red Maple Tree. Hospital staff will later place a plaque in the hospital in memory of Orlando. "Every year 1 want 10 add ta the tree," Ms Sonsogno said.
