Students at Robert Baldwin Sehool celebrated Earth Day April 24 with the help af many community sup- was hcld in the newly-landscaped Peace Gardens, which were expanded this year with the creation of the Buttertly Meadow. Red Maple and Linden trees were donated by the Milton Kinsmen Club. Students joincd parents in a clean-up of the school yard. Consumers Glass donated reusable gloves ta every student in the sehoal for pick-up. And the Town of Milton continued its ongoing sup- port by consulting with planning stages, delivering and moving boulders for the garden, clearing sod for the Butterfly Meadow, digging hales for planting trees and stalking trees ta ensure protection while growing. Sponsors Graywood Developments, Schaeffers Consulting Engineers and Niram Construction Ltd. made contributions by bringing loads of topsoil for the gardens and landscaping for the area. Graywood Developments and Virgoan Praperties provided the woodchips for the paths through the meadaws and woodlot. Donating plants, shrubs and trees for the celebration were Canadian Tire, Country Depot, Country Squires Gardens, Crawford's Country Gardens, Di Girolamo's Greenhouses, Limestone Creek, Langholm Nursery, Loblaws, M. Putzer Homby Nursery Ltd., Milton Horticultural Society, PAO Horticultural, Plant World (Toronto), Taylor Nursery, Terra Greenhouses and Van Dongen's Tree Farru. Students and staff invite the residents of Milton ta join themn by volunteering - anytime - ta help water and care for the newly-planted gardens.
