Region hosting workshop for local non-profit g!roupsQ Halton Region is oftering a train- ing workshop ta give non-profit organizations the skills and resources they need ta survive in today's cornpetitive environment. 'Revenue Mapping: The Road ta Success' will be held May 28 at the Halton Regional Building in the south auditorium from 6 ta 9 p.m. "In today's environment, with decreased funding from traditianal sources and an increased demand for services, it's increasingly diffi- cuit for non-profit (arganizations) ta survive," said regional Chair Joyce Savoline. 'This warkshop is designed ta give five cammunity groups the skills, resources and toals ta ensure a successful and sustainable future." During the workshop. groups will develop a clear picture of their organizatians, objectives and how ta achieve them. Participants will leam how ta identify necessary resaurces, "A strong volunteer, non-profit basé is critical for maintainlng a healthy community. This workshýp in intended to support non-profit (groups) in meeting the needs of Halton residents and maintain a strong quality of life in our région." The warkshop will be led by Elaine Forbes and Vicky Henderson, partners in Brand Management, a campany that was created ta increase collaboration between the variaus sectars of the economy and ta support the ability of drganizations ta meet taday's funding, communication and pro- gramo challenges. The workshop, which casts $35 per persan, is the first in a series oflered by Haltan Regions social and community services depart- ment.
