As reported elsewhere in this newspaper, -10 local students in the public school systemn and four in the Catholic system are being honoured for excellence as part of Education Week. The awards are flot just given for academics, but also athletics, community work, citizenship, family commitment and leadership co skills. Many of these young students are likely our future leaders- ones who will one day play significant roles in their communities as well as their chosen professions. Judging by their accomplishments to date, we'd say the stu- dents' continued success is guaranteed. Thank you, students, for the contributions you've already made to the community.
