But now she's stretching her wings to help those quite a bit further lromn homne.- The 30-year-old is set to combine AndiSa Long goodwill and business expertise in Haipian, Haiti - where starting Monday she'li help establish a computer network for the community's new radio station. "I feel really good about this. There's been times when I've been helped out when I was down, so it's great to be able to gîve something back," said the Laidlaw Transit technical support analyst. Ms Long and Hamilton co-worker Scott Miller will make the trip down with the Mes for Missions International program, wbîch operates in conjunction with Oriental Missionary Service Itnational. The pair's part of the project will last about a wcek -but both are hoping to bring more than just their knowledge of computer software to the underdeveloped nation. Tbey're currentty seeking financiat aid *from members of their community, and so far Ms Long bas received a generous cloth- ing donation from Amity Goodwill Industries as well as financial backing from Woody's Landscaping and Halton Beauty Supply. Kids fromt Sam Sherratt, HoIy Rosary and St. Peter's Sehools paeticipated in the contest. Legion branch president Sharon McKeown and youth and education chair Joe Lilko presented the awards to, the stu- dents.
