A handful of candidates appeared to take part in the Thursday evening session, held at the Optimist Centre. Those who did participate included cur- rent Mayor Gord Krantz and his sole chal- lenger, Vito Agozzino. Alto present were Ward Two chal- lengers Frank Wilson and Jim Timbers, along with incumbent Art Melanson. His ward colleague Wally Hunter amrved late, due to prior commitmrents. Regional and local candidate Rick Malboeuf wasjoined well into the evening by his opponient, Darlene Wasilkowsky. Tax cutsJ£avoured Also in attendance was Halton District School Board challenger Lorraine Gibson. On the issue of spending alot machine revenues, Ihose present rallied around property tax culs.
