Possession charge laid against Stoney Creek man lùesday A mass who was pulled over for speeding, was then charged witb possession of a controlled substanLe. Tise vehicle was stopped at about 4:25 a.m. Tuesday at Tremaine Road and Steeles Avenue. A 26-year-old Stoney Creek man appears in court November 20 with possession of a controlled sub- stance. Thieves leave empty-handed Thieves who tried to steal a vehicle parked at a Tremaine Road home fled empty handed October 15. At about 1:20 a.m., the owner woke up when he heard a noise. He looked outeide and noticed his 1988 Mazda pickup truck rolling down the driveway. The thieves fled on foot northbound on Tremaine Road. Police are looking for a heavy-set maIe wearing a yel- low top and black pants. The second man is thin and was wearing a white top assd bîack pants. Harrop Drive thefts It took juat a haîf an hour for someone to steal a $5.000 piece of equipment from a construction site on Harrop Drive October 18. A laser level waa stolen between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Two generators were stolen fruru a Haerop Drive business between October 181023. The generatora - worth about $8,000 were locked aI the rear of the premise. Police Blotter Velîlcie stolen A 1991 Acura was stolen from a Bronte Street home between 8 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday. The vehicle s worth about $4.000. Vehicle recovered A 1988 Ponlîac 6000 stolen from a Bronte Street home overnight October 18 and 19 was recovered on the Lower Base Line. The vehicle, which was found October 19, had its ignition damaged and the front lîcense plate stolen. The damage is estîmated at $500. MiIk carton thrown A milk carton was thrown at a vehicle parked at Charley FitzWhiskey's Tap and Eatery October I smashing a windshield. The incident happened at about 1:20 arn. outside the Ontarjo Street bar. A 23-year-old Milton resident was charged with mischief under $5.000 and failing to comply with pro- bation.
