The atolen vehicle waa traveling north of Trafalgar Road at a high rate of speed and paaaing people at about 3:20 p.m. when it struck a pick-up truck going in the same direction. The impact cauaed the truck to careen into oncoming traffic, nearly cauaing a head-on collision. The atolen vehicle landed in thc east ditch of Trafalgar Road. The driver got out of the vehicle and briefly spoke to people at the scene, said Dcl. Sgt. Jackie Gordon of Halton Regional Police. The man then walked away, diaappearing into a field. Dcl. Sgt. Gordon said thc man was followed to a home on Trafalgar Road by citizens who then called the police. The police arrived and alTested a man they found in the home. A 26-year-old man of no faxed address was charged with theft over $5,000, pos- session of stolen property, dangerous driving, failure to remain, break and enter and impaired driving and dri- ving with over the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.
