'The Halton Lift Truck Winterhawks made a succesoful joumney to the champi- onship showdown - highlighted by their 3-2 overtime semnifinal squeaker against the heavily favoured Newmarket Redmen - but once there seere edged by London 5-4. London had beaten them in round robin composition as seelI, by a final score of 3-2. Milton ataged a remarkable rally in the finals, battling back from a 4-0 deficit, and knotted the score with a more one second left in regulation. But ecstasy quickly tumed to agony as the local lads gave up a suddon death markor and wero lefs with runner-up, statua. David Tielemans nettod the tying sally and added two assists whilo Steve Ellison, Kyle Scott and Robbie Wilson potsed sin- gles.
