Staff are proposing a $29 mnillion project to retrofit Halton water plants in order to inject ozone mbt the sys- terni. That would thoroughly disinfect the water whîle blasting out tante and odour problerns caused by increaaed algae production in Lake Ontario. If approved at budget tirne, the pro- ject would likely add about $30 to the average annual watcr bilt.
