Under the revised curriculum, students musi now perl'orm 40 hours of community service work during high school. The community service requirement staris with current grade 9 classes and has been mandated by the Ministry of Education. "The esisting Visitor's Centre does not have enough space to provide instructional and shelter space for any addiîional clien- tele," Mr. Burcheit wrote in his report to tise commitîce. The granny lai is a 720-square-foot, self-conainel building ihai bas a f'ui] kitchen, bathroom and single bedroom. Tise building is a perfect place f'or achool groupa and other organizations to get oui of the elemenîs to eat iheir lunch, he said.
