Dedication for 'Walk -of Life' St. PauI's United Church's Walk of Life wiIt be a sting memoriat to the people of Milton, says the head of a committee overseeing the project. Paul Lonergan, chair of the Walk of Lif Committee, aaid the walkway outaide the Main Street church features Iandscap- ing with oak trees and paving atones with inscribed messages. The committee started set ting the atones, he said, as a way to psy for improvementa to the church. But the popularity and beauty of the atones could make it an ongoing way to tasse money. "We have had many donations from families wanting to make a Iasting state- ment of their life in Milton," Mr. Lonergan said. "Many commemorate the birth of a child, a wedding. even the passing of a loved one." The Walk of Life is part of the fundrais- ing campaign to taise $340,000 to pay for the elevator, building expansion and front entrance improvementa, he said.
