The Milton Masters Aquatic Club member outlasted an elite group of awimmers en route to a gold medal performance in the grueling 1,500-yard butterfly event late st month in Alderwood. She completed the marathon race - one that just four provincial participants even attempted - in 24:35.89. Her efforts highlighted those of seven females representing the local club. Eamning gold sweeps with four and three wina respectively were Lee-Anne Greer and Laura Goodman. Greer specialized in the backstroke and but- terfly while freestyle was the stroke of choice for Goodman. Also shining in competition were Lia Clark, Anna Morri, Dawn Newmann and Sue Trerise - ail of whom grabbed gold in at lest one event. Top curlers connng soon Asm you ready to rock curling fans? Milton certainly will be, as one of six sites designated for next month's Ontario Curling Tour Championships.
