Driven by tramner and co-owner Carînan Hie, the handsome four- year-old Dexter Nukes gelding sprinted home to win goi ng away by two lengths over runner-up and co-favourite Mattarocket in 1:55.2. Motor City Smitty, named aller flashy former Toronto Maple Leafs Winger and current Colorado Avalanche scout Brad Smith, won for the seventh lime in osly 13 caicer opoifonities. Incidentally, Smith - who was ptcased t0 Iearn about his namesake - planned on attending the race, but was called out ot town with a hockey commit- ment Friday momning.
