Mr. Jackson, who received a total of 2,835 votes, said the numbers showed he bas built a core level of support in the riding. The fact the NDP iost its officiai party status did ihowever disappoint Mr. Jackson, 46, of Haiton Huila. He beiieved the NDP would have maintained the samne number of seats it had held, but said the people have spoken aqd the NDP will "gel out, work bard and pro- ceed to the next election."
