The Milton Rotary Celebration of the Arts on Thanksgiving Weekend, October 8, 9, and 10 wiI showcase many of the artists, artisans, actors and musicians that are a vibrant part of our communify. The event is being coordinated by Arts Milton an umbrella group for the arts in our Town, The sights and sounds of their creativity will fi the downtown core of our Town beginning with an event fllled opening ceremo- ny on Main Street. Milton area residenfs will have an opportuni- ty to share the excitement and to purchase the product of the artists' creative imagination. Town churches, the Town Hall, and the Marketplace will al be settings for performances and artistic displays. 'Choristers kick up heels TMe Milton Choristers will wrap Up their 30th anniversary sea- son witb some British fun. The singing group will present the British Iles Pub Night at the Farm Museum Saturday, May 15 at 7:30 p.m. The Chonisters will fill tbe Gambrel barn up to the rafters with singera, dancers, band members and the sounds of Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England. Guest performers will include the band Iriahowen, formed 20 years ago by Milton's own Kevin Finnegan. Tbe band will enter- tain the audience witb traditional Celtic music, jigs and reels. The Graham Irish Dancers will don their soft and bard sboea to dance hompipes, jigs, reels and the slip-jig. For those with a taste for Scottish music, there will be bagpipe selections played by Milton's own James Douglas Jr. English music lovera will enjoy at trip down memoty lane witb a lively medley of Beatles music.
