Lionel Sanders of Hamilton was the overall champion of the 10-kilometre race, finishing in a time of 30:53.3. Kate MacNamara of Ancaster claimed top female honours, crossing the line in 38:0.4 to finish eighth overall. Scott Ford (fourth, 37:06.3) and Alicia Knox (12th, 39:38.3) were Oakville's top male and female, respectively. Alexander Dos Santos (fifth), Darryl Rowan (seventh) and Mika Muinonen (10th) were the other Oakville residents to crack the top 10. In the 5K run, Toronto's Martin Rydlo was first in a time of 17:58.2, followed by second-place finisher and top female Kirsten Vergara (18:18.3), also of Toronto. Connor Hammond led Oakville men with a third-overall finish (18:28.7), and Amanda Grice was the top Oakville female (19th, 21:17.2). Adam Jezewski (fourth), Zachary Suchanek (fifth), Scott Campbell (sixth), Evan Notley (ninth) and Griffin Dubbeld (10th) gave Oakville six finishers in the top 10. Oakville's Aideen Kirby was first in the 10K power walk (1:08:16.6), followed by fellow Oakville resident Marilyn Burton (1:14:09.1). Mississauga's Tracey Webster won the 5K walk in 31:25.8, with Oakville's Melissa Parker (31:47.0) placing second. MacLachlan College won the Martin-Zandvliet Group of National Bank Financial High School Challenge. Oakville's Kerri Zillman won the event's grand prize, a one-year lease to a 2013 Mercedes-Benz B-Class.
