By IRENE GENTLE The Champion Many people have learned how to dance through the minefield of office politics. So how do thse stepa change when the office is in your home? Find out by hooking up with The Working From Home Club (WFHC). The four-year-old group tackles al questions big and smaîl related to home businesses in their monthly breakfast meetings at the Ebenezer United Church on Guelph Line. That includes everything from how to market a home business to whether or not it's okay to unplug the phone while cook- ing dinner. "People ask 'when do 1 tumn my phone off?"' said Don Bridges of WFTHC. "A lot of people who are working from home think that they always have to be at home, but they don't. They need to take breaks, too." Despite this, WýFHC is careful to sched- ule their meetings from 7:40 to 9 a.m. so members can have their noses pressed firmly to the grindatone when the work day kicks off. The meetings usually feature a guest speaker along with the food. Afterwards members brainstorm with one another. *see GROUP on page 15 Photo by GRAHAM PAINE Don Bridges ls part of the Work From Home Club, a group that gets together monthly to tackle Issues related ta home business.
