Former students from the graduating classes of 1971 to 1975 cele- brated their twenty-fifth reunion. The reunion was held on Saturday, October 10 in the cafeteria at MDHS. It was very successful and there was quite a big turnout of people. 'If was nice to see people that I hadn't seen since high school" says a former MDHS students, 'Its just too bad every- one couldn'f have corne." Speaking of graduating classes, wb know that some of you senior stu- dents are probably stressing out about your futures. With aIl the decisions ahead of you if can be a prefty hecfic time. However, here at Milton District we are provided with a great universîty and college speaker program. This program consists of many sessions of universify/college speakers spread over a couple of months. Students are invited to attend these sessions dur- ing various poniods of the day. This moans that students who have signed up will be attending their choson sessions rather than their regularly sched- uled classes. How much better could if get? AIl you have to do is sign up in the guidance off ice. The upcoming presontations taking place are for the universifies of Ottawa, Carlton and McMaster. The dates and times of these sessions are October 23 at 9:00 arn, October 27 af 1:00 pm and October 28 at 9:00 arn respectively. Last, but not least, we are very happy to say that the teachers will be in attendance and presenting awards at the upcoming Commencement cere- mony. It s to take place on October 30, 1998 at 7:30 pm. The reception at the Optimist Centre, which is being arranged by parents and friends, will take place as planned. Students and staff at MDHS are grateful to parents, friende, prefects and members of the Community Council for their contin- ued assistance wif h the roception, organizafion, decorations, marshaling and much more.
