Effective this Saturday, our hospital will have completed its amalgamation with the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial H-ospital. In Tuesday's Champion a two page centre spread provided a comprehensive update on the amalga- mation and what it means to our two hospitals and our communities. It is important to note that while our new corporate umbrella namne will be The Halton Heaithecare Services Corporation, the naines of both hospitals will not change. Our local site here in Milton will stili be called T Milton District Hospital. ADDITIONA.L GROWIH FUNDING FOR 1998/99 MDII has received additional funding from the Ministry of Health for this financial year in the amount of $165,200. These additional funds recognize the growth in services that MDH has experienced and will assist us in our efforts to continue to meet the increased demand for inpatient and outpatient services. MDH's allocation is part of an additional $20M allocated by the Provincial Government this year to high growth areas. PUBLIC OPINION SURVEY - WE NEED YOUR INPUT M DI is undertaking its first annual public opinion survey over the next week or so and we will value your opinions about our services and bow we can improve them to bet- ter meet your needs.
