This rare Cadillac Fleetwood series 75 Limousine is 1 out of 690 built in February 1959 in Detroit Michigan. According to the Cadillac Lasalle Club in Chicago, there are apparently only l ileft in the world. The original cost was $13,400.00 which was about $6,500.00 more than the top of the line Cadillac at that time. This particular limousine is 1 out of 30 made with a Power Divider Glass. It is also equipped with Air Ride Suspension and Cruise Control, both new and rare features in 1959. Ironically, it did not have air conditioning, which was an expected feature in Limousines in the 50's. It is assumed the owner requested it that way. This Hollyvood classic was found by its original owner, abandoned in a corn field in Norwood, Ontario (near Belleville) by a farmer who had won it in a poker game years beforehand (excuse the pun). The farmers wife was not keen on her husband's winnings and ordered the vehicle be put out ta pasture. The Farmer refused ta "sell" it ta the persis- tent new admirer but was will- ing to trade it for a vehicle that would appease his wife. Finally, in May, 1986, after several "unsuitable" vehicles were brought forth, the Limousine was traded equally for a 1976 Chevy Nova! Today, this Memory Lane Limousine has been lovingly restored. Operating as a com- mercial vehicle, it also has a few new luxury items added, like a colour TV, cassette stereo, dual air and a liquor bar. After ail, Elvis would have wanted it that wayl Submitted by Brian Jones from Memory Lane Limousine gifts an d go o d th 1 ngs...
