Goodbye Pegasus- sad to see you go Dear Editor: It is with extreme disappointment that I have found out that Pegasus, a bus line, is being shut down. Pegasus is the only bus line that con- necis Georgetown to Acton to Milton to Oakville to Burlington and back. Does the public realize how much of a negative impact this will have on ail our communi- ties? Why was this done without consulta- tion of the public? As a computer high schooi teacher in Milton, I have seen many aduit and teenaged students use the bus line to get to school. Many seniors feel safer using Pegasus because there are seat belts in the bus along with wheelchair access. The bus stops right at Milton Mail and Allendale, allowing convenience for seniors. 1, myseif. was able to accept a teaching con- tract at Generai Brock High School during the summer because Pegasus could get me Everyone 15 invited Dear Editor: The congregation of Grace Anglican Church invites everyone to join in on the 24-hour Prayer Vigil from 6 p.m. Friday, July 24 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 25. We will remember those Milton pio- neers who sacrificed and but the first Anglican church here in 185 i. Milton's founding famiiy, the Martin family, donated the land and were involved in the religious activities of the young town. Aiso, we will remember and thank those who in 1895 taught us the meaning of 'sacrificiai giving' when they but the current stone church on the hili on Main Street. In those days, $6,000 was a lot of money and it took a huge pioneer- ing spirit to commit to such a large project. The goals of the vigil include the strengthening of relationships betweer individuais within the church and the com- munity and to deveiop a sense of unity regarding our corporate responsibilities. The vigil isn't a fundraising event. We invite everyone to join us at the church for prayer or to remember the pio- neers in their prayers on that weekend. We have shift changes every hour on the hour and ask visitors to enter through the park- ing lot door.
