They dropped a 2-1 irst-round decision to Michigan, who went on to win a record ninth national championship Saturday over Boston College. - Michigans game winner against Princeton was as flukey as they corne. Mark Kosick was credited with the goal that ricocheted off Jeff Halpem's skates to dribble between goalie Erasmo Salterelli's feet early in the third. Recalled Bertoli, "It was the weirdest goal I've ever seen. He (Kosick) was pass- ing to someone behind the net and had absolutely nu intention of scoring. "Its hard to say if they (Michigan) would have won anyway. They really took it to us in the first period but had five pow- erplay chances and couldn't score on any."
