For Heaven's sake that's why it's called rural Haton. These animais were living in this ares long before us. So, if their presence disturbs Wendy Wilson and her neighbours at Brookville Estates, may 1 suggest that they move back to Etobicoke or Don Milîs or wher- ever. Dennis J. Taylor Campbellville Concern is for kids Dear Editor: 1Iwouid like to clarify a few points on the coyote article written by Irene Gentle t in the March 31 issue. Firstly, 1 commend ber on presenting a very baianced view of the issue. The prob- lem of more numerous and aggressive coyotes bas no simple answer. The survey that my wife and I distrib- uted had two purposes. It was designed to alert our neigbbours that our encounter with the two attacking coyotes and a third larger one indicated a more aggressive ani- mal than I would bave expected. The second purpose of the survey was to determnine if this was an isolated incident. The survey indicated that it was not. A subsequent sighting in our backyard revealed than one of the tbree was the size of a large Germnan Shepherd. Our greatest concern was for avoiding an incident involving young cildren. Larger sized animais, lacking fear of humans and obviously bungry, couid lead to an unfortunate incident. Finally, just to correct a misquote, 1 do bave a gun that is easily loaded. It is, how- ever, unloaded and locked away, as any weapon sbould be. David Stirling Milton (Editor's note: The Canadian Champion stands behind the quote regarding thse gun.) 1' DA YE4:11 I h e1 MON BEDS
