Teen accosted, money taken Halton police are looking for a teenaged suspect after money was stolen from a youth's wallet at the Laurier Centre. A I 6-year-old maie was approached by another youth at the plaza March 19 short- ly after 9 p.m. The youth asked the victim for money. Intimidated, the victim pulled out is wal- let and the suspect took a small amount otf cash. He then fled in a car. The beist is featured in today's Crime Stoppers on page 27. Special constable injured A Halton Regional Police escort oficer suffered a blow to, the head after a prisoner kicked a cell door open March 17. The officer, who had escorted the pris- oner to the Milton court bouse was open- ing the holding celi door when it it him in Police Blotter the head and he fell ta the ground. He wasn't seriously injured. Computers stolen The Canadian Meter Company on Derry Road was the target of thieves over the weekend. About $25,000 worth of computer equipment was stolen from the office area between 3 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday. The culprits gained entry by smashing a window. Police are investigating the well-planned heist.
