John Burkus, Chair of the Board o the Community Care Access Centre of Halton, is pleased 10 announce that subsequent to this RFP process the Board has approved the awarding of a contrect for the provision of homemaking services 10 Victorian Order of Nurses, Halton Branch and a contracitor the provision of nursing services ta Olsien Healih Services. A key factor in the awarding of ihese contracta was based on the organizations ability to deliver qualiiy services. The remaining 70% of nursing and homemaking services will continue to be providied to the CCACs clients by curreni service provider organizations that have protected levels of service volumes for the 1998/99 budget year. The implementation of the Requesi for ProposaI process is in keeping wiih the Ministry of Heaths mandate to introduce a process to ensure the purchase of the highest quality of care at the best price.
