Milton 878-91 The second semester of this long school year is rapidly drawing ta a close. Soon. my fellow stu- dents and 1 will once ogoin be free of the chains ond shockles of school, if only for o few brief months. This semester however wos different from ony other 1 hove completed-I wili octually be sad f0 see it end. For the post few months 1 ond several dozen fel- law Milton students. hove been porticipating ln a co-operotive education progrom. Since late S Februory I hove been working in the editorial deportment here. at the Canadian Champion. Throughout this semester 1 wos given the chance ta leorn about the business of journal- ism and had the opportunity ta explore my own writing abilities. But by the very nature of being in a "real world" work situation I wos able ta develop ekilis tram which I will torever beneftt regardless of the direction in which my career lies. Teamwork, communication, and of course, responeîbility are virtues needed throughout one's if e. A co-op program le one of the best and easiest waye ta develop these and other eseentiol ekilîs. In a co-ap program there te apport unity for everyone ta develop not only ekilis of trade in which they have intereet, but ekilis which con he applied every day for the rest af their lives. Co-op is an apportunity which no one should pass up. EA ..., euRGES1 M 1 "km ufflD
