After more than two decades, Dudley Clark, the volunteer executive director of Oakville's Fareshare food bank is retiring. photo by Graham Paine Oakville Beaver (Follow on Twitter @halton_photog) When Dudley Clarke retired at age 63, he saw it as an opportunity to nally do what he always wanted but never had the time for -- volunteer. After serving the Fareshare food bank for the last 21 years, the now 84-year-old has decided to retire from his volunteer post to take more time to enjoy the ner things in life. "Let's be brutally honest, I'm in my twilight years," Clarke said. "I'm very fortunate to be in reasonably good health. I wouldn't have been able to do what I've been doing if I hadn't been, but I gured it was time to spend a little more time with my wife (Shirley), and working in the garden a little more and taking more time to go on my walks." Of cially saying farewell to Fareshare at the end of April, Clarke will leave behind some pretty big shoes to ll -- so much so, that his responsibilities will be spread amongst several volunteer positions. see Fareshare on p.7 ceramics porcelain travertine marble glass natural stone mosaics slate granite quartz FACTORY TILE DEPOT 1360 Speers Road (East of 3rd line) Oakville We shop the world so you don't have to!
