www.insideHALTON.com | OAKVILLE BEAVER | Friday, May 3, 2013 | 12 Halton Physician Appreciation Week April 29 - May 3, 2013 Our thanks to Halton's physicians The week of April 29 to May 3, 2013 is Physician Appreciation Week in Halton. During this Gary Carr - Halton Regional Chair week, Halton Region and local hospitals recognize physicians for their contribution to our community. The week was originally designated in 2003 by the Halton Physician Recruitment program which aims to ensure that each and every resident in Halton has access to effective health services today and in the future. To achieve this goal, Halton works together with our Local Municipalities, physicians, local hospitals, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and others. This collaborative approach is paying off. Halton Region's Physician Recruitment program has helped bring 182 new family doctors to Halton since 2003. During Halton Physician Appreciation Week, we say a collective thank you to all of Halton's dedicated physicians. Halton's doctors work tirelessly year round, making a difference in every life they touch. Thanks to our physicians, Halton is a healthy and safe community, and a great place to live, work, raise a family and retire.
