Valmer Orton Merritt, Caistor Township farmer, passed away Monday at the home of his sister, Mrs. Curtis Swayze, after a lengthy illness. A son of the late Walmer and Mahala Merritt, he was in his 67th year and was born in Caistor. He was a member of Ker United Church. Surviving are three brothers, Benson Merritt, Caistor Township and John and Frank Merritt of Grimsby; also his sister Mrs. Swayze at Caledonia. Funeral will be held from the home of his brother, Benson, this Thursday afternoon, with service in Ker Church. Burial will be made in Ker Church Cemetery.
